Dr. Carla Vega

Dr. Vega
Dr. Carla Vega earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus. She graduated with honors from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, she completed a one-year intensive medical internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.
Dr. Vega began her career in Texas, where she practiced veterinary medicine for several years. From 2009 to 2012, she proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. Since 2019, she has been practicing in Central Florida, with primary interests in preventive medicine, dental health, public health, supporting the human-animal bond, and hospice care. Dr. Vega is Fear-Free certified and fluent in Spanish, allowing her to provide compassionate, stress-free care to pets and communicate effectively with a diverse client base.
In her free time, Dr. Vega enjoys crocheting, baking, cooking, and spending time with her husband, three young sons, and their family pets.
